The TSI-2020 is a self-contained biological indicator; each ampoule contains an inoculated spore strip of G. stearothermophilus ATCC 7953, an inner glass ampoule with an acidic culture medium in purple color, developed for monitoring the steam sterilization process. It is compatible with gravity displacement or vacuum-assisted vacuum systems, and its steam exposure range is suitable for processes from 121°C to 134°C or immediate "Flash" cycle.
The change in color of the culture medium to yellow indicates the growth of G. Stearothermophilus ATCC 7953, signaling a failure in the sterilization process, which is detected within 20 minutes by fluorescence reading.

This product is exempt from registration with the Ministry of Health, in accordance with RDC 751/2022, and is classified as a health product – a device not considered a health product.
